Importing
How do I import my old logbook?
Export a CSV from your airline's crew portal or your previous logbook app and save it to Files. In LogPit, open More → Import/Export → Import CSV. You'll see a preview before anything is saved. CSV is the most reliable way in.
My CSV won't import. What now?
Try a PDF flight report instead, or email us the column headings (not your data) and we'll add support for them. Anything LogPit can't place in a box is kept with the flight rather than dropped.
How does the ACARS scan work?
After landing, photograph the ACARS times screen. LogPit reads the block times, route and aircraft on your device and shows a form to check. Anything it couldn't read is highlighted, and you can pick the aircraft type from the types you've flown recently.
How reliable is the paper logbook scan?
It's a helpful shortcut, but less reliable than a CSV — especially for handwriting. Neat, printed entries read best. Every flight is shown with unclear boxes highlighted, so you can correct them before saving.
I imported the wrong file. Can I undo it?
Yes. Go to Import/Export → Import History and take any import back out. Flights you added by hand are never touched.
Logging and hours
Why are times in UTC?
LogPit records every date and time in UTC, so a time never changes meaning depending on where your phone thinks it is. Roster imports in local time are converted for you.
How do I log a flight that lands after midnight?
Just enter the departure and arrival times. If the arrival is earlier than the departure, LogPit knows the flight crossed midnight and shows “Arrives the next day (+1)”.
Why doesn't my landing recency count some flights?
LogPit only counts landings you made yourself. Imports add landings only when the source records them as yours, and on the recency screen you can mark each flight.
Can I add the hours from my paper logbook?
Yes — enter your totals under Opening Hours in Settings, and they're added to your all-time totals.
Backups and devices
Where is my data stored, and how do I back it up?
Only on your device. Save a full backup or CSV from Import/Export, turn on Automatic backup in Settings to save to a folder (iCloud Drive or Google Drive, for example) whenever your logbook changes, or rely on your device’s own backup.
How do I move to a new phone?
On the old phone: Import/Export → Full Backup & Restore → Save a Full Backup, and save it to iCloud Drive or Google Drive. On the new phone, open the same screen and choose Restore from a Backup File. The backup file works between iPhone and Android too.
How do I delete my data?
Deleting the app removes all of its data from your device. Backup files you've saved elsewhere stay until you delete them.
Plans and billing
What's free after the trial?
Seeing your logbook, hours, totals and profile, and exporting a CSV or PDF logbook or a full backup — for good. You can also keep logging flights by hand until the flights you’ve logged by hand reach 250 hours. Imports and everything else need a plan.
How do I cancel a subscription?
On iPhone or iPad: Settings → your name → Subscriptions → LogPit. On Android: the Play Store app → your profile picture → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → LogPit. Cancel at least 24 hours before it renews.
How do I get a refund?
Refunds are handled by the store you bought from. For Apple, visit reportaproblem.apple.com and choose the purchase. For Google Play, open your order history in the Play Store and request a refund there.
I've got a new device. How do I unlock it?
Sign in with the same Apple ID and tap Restore Purchases on the Unlock LogPit page.
